Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ Foundational:

We believe in the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to transform lives and the world.

  • Scripture is Primary:

We believe the Holy Bible, The Old and New Testaments reveal the Word of God so far as it is necessary for our salvation. The Bible is the primary standard and authority for faith, morals, and service, against which all other authorities must be measured.

  • Doctrine is Central:

We believe that the Christian faith has been handed down to us in scripture, the apostolic witness, and the faithful Tradition of the Church. We are committed to keeping the “faith once delivered” (Jude 3) central in how we carry out our mission.

Our doctrinal beliefs are summed up in the historic Apostles' Creed:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

    creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

and born of the virgin Mary.

    He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

    was crucified, died, and was buried;

    he descended to hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

    the holy catholic church,

    the communion of saints,

    the forgiveness of sins,

    the resurrection of the body,

    and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • Discipleship is Our Mission:

Our purpose as a church is to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all Christ has commanded. (Matt. 28)

  • Deliverance is Celebrated:

We believe “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” As Such, we celebrate the transformational power of God’s loving-kindness, mercy, and grace in delivering people from the hold of sin and death.
